I enjoy poetry, literature, watching animations, marvelling at the beauty of nature, meeting new people and exploring different cuisines. I find beauty in the ordinary and poetry in the mundane.

My Therapeutic Approaches
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your emotions?
Gestalt therapy focuses on bringing awareness to the present moment and helping you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. By exploring your experiences in the here and now, you can gain a deeper sense of self-awareness and personal responsibility.
Gestalt therapy encourages you to embrace your whole self, including your emotions and bodily sensations. Through interactive exercises and dialogue, you’ll learn to identify patterns and unmet needs that might be holding you back. This approach empowers you to live more authentically and find greater fulfilment in life.
An individualized treatment plan.
The Eclectic Approach is a flexible therapeutic style that combines techniques from various therapeutic orientations. Instead of rigidly adhering to one specific method, therapists using this approach tailor their treatment to the unique needs of each client. By drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic tools, they can create a personalized plan that effectively addresses the client’s specific challenges.

It’s completely okay to be hesitant and nervous about therapy because it can seem intimidating and overwhelming; it was for me too. But to realise that beyond that fear is a space—a place where we allow ourselves to open our minds with kindness and trust the process—because to seek therapy is to seek yourself.
The idea that therapy is only sought if there are severe problems or an “illness.” Therapy does help when there are severe problems or conditions, but it is not limited to that. One can also seek therapy simply to get to know themselves better, for self-exploration or for more.
I love humour. I think humour is one of the most creative ways of self-expression. I enjoy humour, and I would definitely indulge too by either adding on to it or countering it, without judgement, of course! A good laugh can be relieving, enlightening, and comforting.
Creating a space where the client feels in control, autonomous and comfortable to express, share, and feel unapologetically at their own pace. Reassurance is another way, by reminding the client that this is indeed their space, where there is no room for judgement. Asking the clients what they need from me as a therapist to help facilitate a safer space, whilst adhering to the ethical code.
In my time as a therapist, what has helped my clients is allowing them space and working with patience. Letting my clients know that they can open up at their own pace, reassuring them that this is their safe space to express themselves freely where judgement ceases to exist. Understanding where the hesitance stems from and working with that along with the client. I believe in taking things at their own pace and not rushing the process; baby steps are the way to go.
I hangout with my friends, I re-watch my favourite shows and animated movies, I try to read, I often take a break to do nothing and rest, I love taking walks and looking at clouds, and most importantly, I see my therapist.
“The Drama of the Gifted Child” by Alice Miller is a book that helped me understand the impact of childhood experiences on adulthood. I related to the book myself and found it befitting my client’s experiences as well. The book reflects on unhealthy childhood experiences giving birth to suppression of emotions, perfectionism and people-pleasing behaviours. It highlights the importance of processing emotions to overcome such unhealthy patterns and behaviours. Along with this, I have been reading up on a few research papers on topics that I have encountered in therapy, to get a fresher perspective and ideas.
